mechanics and our next workshop?

as you may have guessed from the lack of posts lately...we've been busy. (like hanging these insane floral "clouds" from the ceiling of an old hog barn. whose crazy idea was that???) next time i will definitely consider the "how" before I blurt out an untested creative zinger like that! big thanks to my honey-pie for listening to all of my "pie in the sky" ideas and ramblings on this (balloons covered in petals, styrofoam forms with layers of tubed hydrangea wrapped around them, etc) and then figuring out how to engineer their installation. you are a patient and sweet man!

tomorrow I'm kind of, or mostly on my way to my good friend Jose Villa's workshop in Los Olivos. Nevermind my car died an hour ago - and I'm not in LA. but, thanks to the good will ambassador of flowerwild (ambassador of happiness and all things positive (amber moon)) it looks like Jose will get his flowers and some other goodies.

which brings me to something else. many of you have been asking about our next workshop. and i haven't planned dates yet, or locations. So though I would ask you all. when and where would you like to see flowerwild workshops?

considering first and last weeks of november, and other dates in Jan and feb!

ok people I need a new camera. My sad and bent, broken, little pocket cam finally bit the dust. So if any of you all have one you want to donate to the flowerwild blog to sustain pretty pics throughout the year let me know! ha!

it's worth a try...right???

or if you are trying to unload a beauty of a camera please message me. Looking for a digital SLR, preferably similar to a Canon 5 d. Anyone?
cause I wanna take better pictures.

Working on a new blog (yea!) and spent the last few days handwriting and scanning lots of little silly meaningless word..at least they seem meaningless when written out over and over. Funny how that works, If you pick one word and just repeat it continuously it becomes completely absurd.
Kind of want to wait till it's all done before posting anything new here. But that might be a while...

This couple sent me the loveliest thank you after their wedding at the Parker in Palm Springs last october.

It makes my heart sing when I get a thoughtful thank you from a bride.
It makes all the hard work and early morning worthwhile.
Plus, it just makes me feel a little more human. Not sure why.

studio time

I have had a handful of workspaces since the heyday of flowerwild's inception. They have all been great and perfect in their own ways. Now my studio is a fun, cozy, but airy work in progress where lots of flowers find their place before a beautiful debut on the wedding day. And old two-stall stable with windows all around. We recycled all the original wood..so there are plenty of horseshoe indentations throughout. Makes me feel lucky. In so many ways.
